History of Dhyanalinga temple
The temple was build by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, an popular Yogi in India. Full silence has to be maintained inside the temple. The main dome was constructed only with bricks without any steel or concrete which is a miracle in architecture. There is a large Linga or Lingam (see picture gallery) inside the dome which is about 13 feet (4 m approx.) purely made of black granite.There was a subterranean tank located 35 ft below which has a mercury based Lingam immersed inside. It is made of 99.8% mercury and it is maintained at Room Temperature.

Dhyanalinga temple is located 30 Km from Coimbatore District, Tamilnadu State, India. It is easy to reach from Coimbatore. One can take a call taxi from Coimbatore and it takes about 1 hour reach there. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is a spiritual person who is the founder of Isha. He is the founder of many Isha yoga centers too all around the world. He is basically from Karnataka and then settled in India. The Isha Center is about 40 km from Coimbatore and it was founded in 1992. Now many people all around the world visit this temple and do meditation. The main hall of the Dhyanalinga temple was beautifully constructed and a big Shiva Linga (Idol of Shiva) can be found inside the room. People who visit this temple sits inside and do Dhyana (Meditation) in intervals (for about 30 minutes). One can feel and experience the real peace and calm of life here during meditation.
